If you don’t quite find what you want, we can also help you customize your veil or simply change the color to best suit your style.
Q: How long before my wedding should I order my veil?
A: You will receive your MayRey veil within 3-4 weeks, although you may need to calculate a bit more time so that you can take it to your hair stylist for a consultation or hairdo practice session. Rather than worry about receiving it on time for the big day, we recommend that you order your veil 2-3 months beforehand.
Q: If my wedding date is right around the corner, can I have my veil order rushed delivery?
A: Regular ground shipping is free anywhere within the continental US. For rush orders, add an additional $35 rush fee (8-10 days).
Q: What colors options do you offer for your veils?
A: Most of our Traditional and Classic collections are available in winter white, diamond white and ivory. The Modern collection offers different color options (as noted in their descriptions). If you don’t see the color you need, please feel free to contact MayRey for custom orders.
Q: How do I know which color of veil best matches my dress?
A: For a classic or traditional look, your veil color should blend into the fabric of your gown. If the gown is not a defined shade of color, then the veil should be the lighter of the two. For a modern or spirited look, there are no defined rules. Maybe you would rather choose your favorite color or one that would compliment the colors for your wedding.
Q: What if I can’t decide between your Traditional veils or your fun, Spirited veils?
A: While your wedding ceremony would certainly fit our Traditional veil options, why not make a statement during your reception party with one of our more Modern options… It’s almost like having two very different looks altogether. If you choose to go this route, we will offer you a 25% discount off of the second veil.
Q: Can I customize my veil or hairpiece?
A: Yes. Simply email us at MayRey and keep in mind that custom orders need additional time to create than if you order from one of our standard veil collections.
Q: I really liked one of your veils… can I order it in a different color?
A: We will be glad to customize any of our products to best fit your needs. Simply send MayRey an email with your special order or contact our Customer Service Dept.
Q: How do I know what length to choose for my veil?
A: This depends on your preference as well as on the wedding’s setting. Our collections offer various styles: Classic, Modern, Traditional. Each style offers different lengths to help make your decision easier.
Q: What is your exchange and return policy?
A: Because each piece is individually hand made with precision and care, we will only accept returns up to 7 days after the item has been delivered to you (according to postal tracking records). You must contact us directly to request a Return Authorization Number. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Item must be in its original new condition, with no sign of wear. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returned item, unless exchanged for the same item. MayRey reserves the right to reject any return at our discretion.
Since each item is crafted especially for you, it is extremely important that you contact us at info@mayrey.com with any questions or concerns before the final purchase is made. We will gladly assist you in making an informed decision.
However, if you are not completely satisfied with your order, please call or email us with your order number, contact phone and a detailed description of the problem. At MayRey Designs, customer satisfaction is our top priority and we will do everything we can to address your concerns.
Q: I can’t quite get my comb to stay in place and my veil keeps falling off… can you help?
A: Our veils are designed with a special comb that prevents this from happening. Also, depending on which style you choose, our veils come with special instructions for placing it in your hair.
Q: Can I have my veil shipped internationally?
A: Yes. Our shipping is $25 to Mexico and Canada, $35 for all other countries. Please keep in mind that international shipping is 4-6 weeks to receive your MayRey veil.
Q: What if my veil gets wrinkled?
A: The best way to get rid of wrinkles is using a small steamer. If you don’t have a steamer, try using a hairdryer instead. Place your veil on a flat surface (try using your bed) and allow the hot air to blow over the entire length of the veil.
Q: After the wedding, how can I clean and store my veil?
A: Usually, veils fare better than the gown and stay clean. But if you have any small stains, try cleaning it in the following solution: add 2 tablespoons of Shout to a ½ cup of water and use a small, clean towel to dip in the solution and gently dab the stain away. If the affected area is too large, we recommend simply taking it to a dry cleaner instead. After cleaning, you can store your veil in the container it shipped in.
Q: Can I use any of the veils from your Modern collection for my bridesmaids?
A: Of course, this is a great idea! Your bridal party will qualify for a 25% discount if you purchase your veil with MayRey. Simply place your order together (first veil is full price, all additional veils would get 25% off).
